I have to admit I never was a super fan of the Mutts comic strip.  But how can one not smile when reading the beginning line:  There was once a kitten so filled with love he wanted to give the whole world a hug!
Especially since I usually need a hug by the time I’m able to sit down and actually read the book.  My four and a half year old son says he really likes the book.  When questioned as to why he said “because the kitten brings love to the whole Earth, one hug at a time.”

Well, you just have to appreciate a gem of a book that elicits such insight from a child.  The drawings are beautiful in their simplicity as is the message of the book- Really it’s not that hard to love the world- just make a hug to do list. Have you made yours?

Hug Time earns 8 out of 10 Binkies.
