A Spanx Retraction

spanx.jpegEverything bad I ever said about Spanx, I take back. I can't live without mine now. Thanks to BBB (big book butt). I just realized that one can not wear them with pants. They stick.

Loose fitting dresses are best.

Oprah is rarely wrong when it comes to under-garments.

How the Purse Became the Porsche

DSCN2359.jpgCheck out my article in Coast Kids, How the Purse Became the Porsche.

I worked hard on this one (a ton of research!) and am a wee bit proud of it!

Reason # 1 I am Unfashionable

I love this pic!  Doesn't she look like she is having fun?

Spanx update

spanx2.jpegI tried wearing the SPANX tonight and I can't say I was impressed. They actually made my pants feel tighter and grab my clothes more (aka lines across my butt). I took them off and put on the granny panties which were a lot more comfy and actually looked better under the pants.

Perhaps they will be 'slimming' with a dress. I will keep you posted...

Lighter Note: Fashion Decisions

anne-hathawas-devi-kroell-purse.jpgOn a lighter and more superficial note, I am have been eyeing this gold purse in Target for ages. It is a knock-off of a much more expensive bag by the same deisgner- Devi Kroell. There is the Target version and the beaucoup bucks version. (I actually didn't know if was a cheap replica until I saw this photo but who cares?  Do I need to prove that I have good taste when I don't?  NO!)

Anywho, here is a pic of it.  Do you think it is too big?

I want to take it to the La Jolla Writer's Conference because I know it will hold my computer, cell phone and large bag of undercover eye make-up!  But perhaps not the right look when WORDS are king, or queen.

Non-Surgical Tummy Tuck

tummy%20tuck%20jeans.jpegHas anyone tried these Tummy Tuck jeans?

I just read about them in a magazine I got at Menopause The Musical aka the musical that caused me to not sleep for a whole week.

Are they as good as the photo says?

H & M Obsessed

hm.jpegI have found a great H&M Clothing near my house (the Irvine Specturm) and I can not stop spending money. There are so many cute and funky clothes there at such great prices!!  I haven't been this bad since I moved out of maternity clothes and into a size 14.  I bought two skirts and seven tops yesterday for $130. That' s better than a good day at Target...

The Kylie line is adorable.  The Madonna line wasn't really working for me.  You have to be too tight and tiny for all of her tops and fitted jackets.

Target has wedding dresses!

I can not believe my eyes.  Target is selling wedding dresses designed by Isaac Mizarahi.  It almost makes me want to renew my vows.  Which one do you think I should get? (I know the cheaper ones are blurry!)

The New Me!

622798-838475-thumbnail.jpgAfter having nothing to wear for a week-because I threw out 60% of my clothes-I finally went shopping with Noelle the Fabulous Stylist.  Do you like the picture of the new me?  Aren't I fabulous?

If only it were me. (That's Miss Vutton-ScarJo) I did, however, get some great pieces to wear and will share as soon as I get over the sticker shock!

Nothing to wear

model%20in%20white.jpegNow that I got rid of over half of my clothes, I had nothing to wear out tonight, so I chose all white.  Not a bad uniform for me, but obviously not easily sustainable on a daily basis...pre-school drop-off, park visits and the inevitable accident at Starbucks.

I do have to share that for one night I did feel clean and tidy.
